Two Wins in One Night

Early in the $120+9 KO 25k I got lucky to cooler two people in one hand. I had QQ on a 99xQ board vs KK and 98s. I tripled up early and got off to a great start. Later I flopped a set of 9's vs Kings to bust another player. I won some flips and sailed to the money.

In the money this hand gave me a big stack and set me up to final table...

When I got to the final table it was an interesting mix of players. GB2005 and Scott "BigRisky" Clements are two of the biggest on-line tournament winners ever. FTP pro Aaron Bartley was also at the table. Fellow blogger TwoBlackAces was as well. It seem the others at the table weren't quite as experienced, but I could be wrong...

TwoBlackAces coolered me twice when my AQ and QQ ran into his Aces. I then ran 7's into 9's and went from being a big stack to a short stack. I shoved KJ here on a button raiser and hit quads...

TwoBlackAces finished in 4th when he shoved K8s and ran into BigRisky's pocket Aces. I battled a lot with Bartley and BigRisky, but I came out ahead in the end...

I had to photoshop that screen shot a bit. The final hand was blocked by the message that I busted a Full Tilt pro, so I cleaned it up a bit. The lobby again...

I made the the $5 rebuy 4th in chips, but a decent amount behind the leaders. I still felt good as I was deep enough to have some play and most of the players were awful...

For an example of how awful, here some how this guy called my check raise shove with no hand and no draw...

This hand gave me a monster stack. I checkraised all in with my flush draw and an over. I get there on the river to give me three quarters of the chips in play with three left. Soon to be two...

Then I bust a shorty all in pre...

Then I just try to pound away and win. I doubled him twice, but still had the chip lead. Here he bluff shoves the river on me with Jack high vs my flush and it was over...

It felt insanely good to win my 2nd mtt of the night and 6th in the last two months...

Its hard to believe the run I have been on. I am having a ton of fun and can't wait to get back on the tables again tonight. FTOPS starts as well, which is good timing (except for this Sunday being Mother's Day. Hopefully I can make a couple nice scores this time around. Thanks for all the railage last night and all the comments today. It is definitely appreciated.
